How to remove Audio Noise using Adobe Audition

The Matrix Respoofed short was shot MOS. This means “without sound”.  Technically, we recorded sound for reference, but we knew it would not be used in the final cut of the video because wind was interfering with our ability to capture quality sound, so the actors recorded it in a better environment after the actual shoot.

Sometimes filmmakers are unable to capture quality sound during a shoot. If your actors are unavailable to record audio later for automatic dialogue replacement, you may have to “fix it in post” to whatever extent is possible. This video shows how to remove a specific type of background noise using Adobe Audition. This is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud bundle.
